Our Reading Incentive Programs

 You read regularly & we help feed your family

  • Family readers give each family a monthly calendar refrigerator magnet

  • The family records the days they read to their baby each month

  • The family reader collects the calendar at the end of the month & provides a new one. The reader discusses with the mom/caregiver how the reading to the baby went for the month

  • Families that read at least 20 days in a given month receive a $50 gift card to ALDI

  • Note: We increased this incentive from $25 to $50 effective June 2022 to increase participation & help with inflation! It is capped at $300 per family.

 New Family Incentive

As an additional incentive, new BabyRead families receive $40 Ingles gift card after their 3rd in-person reading session within the first two months. Cards can be used for food, gas or at the pharmacy.

Note: We increased this incentive from $20 to $40 effective July 2022 to increase participation & help with inflation!

Family Referral Incentive

Current and former BabyRead families receive a $50 gift certificate from ALDI after a new family they refer to us meets in person 3 times in the first two months. The new family can be a family member provided they live in a different household. Word of mouth works — and it pays too! Help us spread the word and the joy of reading in Oconee County. This is a new BabyRead incentive we implemented effective July 2022!

 BabyRead® is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free services to its families in Oconee County.
